recital

You confidently walked up to the piano when your name was called.
You sat with your teacher and played a little duet.
Momma stood close by to help you keep track of the counts.
You played.
Flawlessly.
We were amazed, unsure of how you would react to an audience.
They clapped.
You smiled proudly as you took your seat and listened to your peers.

It is obvious that you do not take after your mother who used to shake just terrible at all her recitals and get so nervous.  I am so thankful for a wonderful teacher who wants you to love music!

tickling ivory

Your little fingers slowly find their way down the keys to the right notes.  You try very hard to keep that "egg" in the palm of your hand while you are playing.

Remember, just use the tips of your fingers to play.
Half note
Quarter note
Whole note
Now, how many counts do they get?
Don't forget the rests.
Treble clef is your right hand
Bass is your left hand

I am amazed at how much you take in and remember during your lessons.  I love to watch your love for music bloom!  Keep up the great work!
